 Dr. Bruce Thornton,
B.A. '75, Ph.D. '83
 Professor Thornton is the author of
many books
and even more articles. He co-authored Bonfire
of the Humanities: Rescuing the Classics in an Impoverished Age and wrote
Greek Ways: How the Greeks Created Western Civilization,
followed most recently
by Searching for Joaquin: Myth, Murieta,
and History in
California. Thornton appeared frequently as
a guest on
“Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher,” and was awarded with the
“Friend of
